Founding teachers · The Kheya Standard

Experienced teachers, carefully brought within reach.

Kheya is beginning with a deliberately small, carefully curated teacher group. We look for deep subject knowledge, classroom judgement, professionalism and clarity of explanation. Some teachers bring decades of experience; none is treated as simply another profile for a large tutor directory.

Meet Rabeya Newaz — Founding English Teacher

Rabeya Newaz is a highly experienced English educator whose teaching career spans more than three decades. A published education feature documented sixteen years of teaching experience as early as 2007, placing the beginning of her career around 1991 and associating her professional work with Dhanmondi Tutorial and Playpen.

The same contemporary source records Rabeya undertaking postgraduate study in English Language Teaching at Presidency University. She described that development as an opportunity to connect longstanding classroom experience with contemporary teaching theory, methodology and reflective practice.

Rabeya supports Kheya learners from Grade 5 through A Level, helping them strengthen close reading, purposeful writing, accuracy and, where relevant, examination confidence.

Teaching quality comes first

An application is only the beginning. We assess career experience, subject depth, curriculum knowledge, teaching judgement, professionalism and the ability to notice and respond to an individual learner—not simply the ability to present to a large online audience.

  • Sustained career teaching experience
  • Deep subject and examination knowledge
  • Observed teaching demonstration
  • Clear explanation and responsive teaching
  • Professional preparation and communication

Verification supports selection

Identity, relevant qualifications, teaching and employment history, professional references and safeguarding readiness are then checked as expected foundations of a serious education provider. These checks do not substitute for exceptional teaching; they support a selection already grounded in teaching quality.

04

Checks must be accurate and proportionate

The exact criminal-record or police-clearance route can depend on the teacher’s country, residence history and role. Kheya will describe a check as completed only when evidence has been obtained and reviewed. A foreign police clearance is not presented as a UK DBS certificate.

What families receive

Before enrolment, families are told who will teach the cohort and receive a clear profile containing verified, relevant information. Named founding-teacher profiles will be published only after those details and permissions are ready.
