Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you make a commitment.

Kheya’s founding service is deliberately careful. These answers explain what is available now and where details are confirmed individually.

01

Which subjects and levels are supported?

Kheya offers Mathematics, English, Biology and Chemistry from Year 5 through A Level. Examination pathways can include Cambridge O Level and IGCSE, Pearson Edexcel International GCSE, and AS/A Level. A place is offered only when Kheya has a suitable verified teacher and compatible cohort; exact course fit is confirmed before placement.

02

Is this one-to-one tuition?

No. Students learn in a stable, carefully matched cohort of up to six. A cohort normally starts with at least three compatible students.

03

How is Kheya different from a large online class?

Large online classes can reduce prices by broadcasting to hundreds of learners. Kheya deliberately caps every cohort at six, so the teacher can question each student, hear their reasoning, respond directly and notice when understanding changes. It is a real class, not an anonymous livestream or open tutor directory.

04

How does Kheya match a learner with a teacher?

Kheya does not use availability or an automated recommendation as the final decision. We begin with information from the parent or guardian, a short conversation that may include the learner, and recent academic evidence or a focused diagnostic where useful. We then consider qualification, exact specification, current understanding, goals, pace, working style, teacher expertise and cohort dynamics. The family sees the recommended teacher’s profile and can experience a matched taster before deciding.

05

When do classes start?

After a parent conversation, Kheya matches the learner by subject, syllabus, level, pace and availability. The teacher, timetable and expected start date are confirmed before full programme payment is requested.

06

Can a learner join after a cohort starts?

Usually, learners join at the beginning of a four-week block. A teacher may approve earlier entry after a diagnostic and supported catch-up. If the timing or academic fit is not right, Kheya offers the next suitable entry point.

07

How much does it cost?

For UK families, the founding programme is £149 per student for each four-week cycle, and a 90-minute taster is £19. Bangladesh has its own published rate on the Bangladesh page. Other international markets are currently registering interest only, without a published price or promise of availability. Registering interest itself is free.

08

How are teachers selected?

Kheya’s intended process considers identity, relevant qualifications, work history, references, curriculum knowledge, an observed teaching demonstration and appropriate safeguarding evidence. Kheya only describes checks as completed when evidence has been obtained and reviewed.

09

What role does AI have at Kheya?

Founding classes are delivered by live teachers, not AI. Kheya is preparing carefully controlled tools that may assist lesson planning, marking workflows, original practice, pattern detection and reporting. These are phased plans rather than current programme entitlements. Teachers review learner-facing academic outputs, people make matching and safeguarding decisions, and human professional judgement remains final.

10

Will students have a learning portal?

Yes. Kheya has built an invitation-only, installable portal with separate student, parent and teacher views for lessons, practice, progress, cohort notices and payment status. Access is introduced with each onboarded cohort and student accounts require parent or guardian involvement. A supervised discussion workspace and personal AI Learning Guide remain later phases, subject to teacher control, moderation, privacy and safeguarding checks.

11

Will classes be recorded?

Kheya is preparing protected cohort recordings for revision and supported catch-up, but they are not yet an automatic programme entitlement. Before recording is enabled, families will receive clear notice about what is captured, who can view it, how long it is kept and how to raise a concern. Public links and unrestricted downloads are not part of the intended model.

12

Can Kheya support ADHD, autism or other learning differences?

Kheya is designing neuroinclusive teaching adjustments around a voluntary learning-preferences profile, with parent involvement and teacher review. These may include predictable agendas, chunked written and spoken instructions, processing time, planned breaks and lower-clutter materials. Kheya does not diagnose conditions or claim specialist SEND therapy or provision; the placement conversation must establish whether Kheya can meet a learner’s needs safely and well.

13

What happens after I enquire?

Your submission enters Kheya’s protected admissions workspace. Kheya reviews the learner’s needs, contacts the parent or guardian, and explains availability and next steps. The confirmation screen gives you a reference to keep.
