The Kheya method

Curated teachers. Understood learners. Considered matches.

Kheya works more like a considered craft than a high-volume tutor directory. We find experienced career teachers across borders, take time to understand the learner and family, and bring the right people together in a compatible class of no more than six.

01

1. We search with intention

Kheya actively looks for career teachers with deep subject knowledge, seasoned classroom judgement, professionalism and a gift for making difficult concepts understandable. Some bring decades of experience. We are not waiting for random tutor profiles to appear in a directory.

02

2. We assess and verify

We look closely at professional experience, curriculum understanding, teaching evidence and how the teacher thinks about learners. Joining Kheya is selective. Teaching quality comes first; identity, credential, employment, reference and safeguarding checks form the required foundations before a teacher can be considered for a Kheya class.

03

3. We understand the learner

A parent or guardian first shares the qualification, exam board, current evidence, goals and practical needs. A short conversation with the parent and, where appropriate, the learner helps us understand confidence, pace, working style and where support could make the greatest difference. A focused diagnostic may add useful evidence.

04

4. We shape the match

Kheya considers the teacher’s expertise and manner alongside the learner’s academic needs and a cohort’s pace, goals and dynamics. Availability matters, but it never makes the decision by itself. The recommendation is made by people—not generated by an algorithm.

05

5. We confirm together

The family sees the named teacher’s profile and relevant completed-check information before enrolment. A carefully matched taster lets the learner, family, teacher and Kheya consider the fit before the programme, timetable and cohort are confirmed.

06

6. We remain involved

Students receive two live 90-minute lessons each week, with preparation, structured practice and teacher feedback. Kheya stays accountable for the experience, using attendance, assessment evidence and professional judgement to create clear next steps for families.
